In the Beginning (From their website)
Way back in 1966, we opened the first K-BOB’S Steakhouse in Clovis, New Mexico, deep in the heart of cattle country. The concept was simple. Serve folks delicious, mouth watering beef, hand cut to perfection. Add to that our trademarked garden fresh Salad Wagon®. Combine good food like this with K-BOB’S famous down-home hospitality all wrapped up at a reasonable price. Now, you really have something special. After more than 40 years, we are now serving over 6 million guests each year all over K-BOB’S Country.
Our Review
Our review is based on a number of visits to the Dumas location. We go to Gyumon OK. frequently on business and have enjoyed a lunch on the way or a dinner on our way back to Amarillo several times. Our viewers and friends tell us that our opinion of the Hereford and Dimmitt restaurants would be the same.
After over 30 years these people have it down pat. There is lots of seating, boothes and tables, and you can watch the cook if you so desire. They even have meeting rooms for large groups.
On our last visit Ron had "K-Bobs Famous K-Bobs skewered with onions, green peppers, and tomatoes served on a bed of Chuckwagon rice. Carol ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and we both had loaded baked potato and Salad Wagon.
Both the K-Bobs and Chicken Fried Steak were excellent and the loaded baked potatoes were among the best we have experienced in the panhandle. Perhaps the most impressive part of our visit was the salad wagon. Everything was fresh and the selection was more than one would expect. The service from start to finish was prompt and courteous.
We look forward to our next drive thru Dumas. We will try some different meals and post an update soon.
