It is always a pleasure to visit Dyer's Bar B Que for many reasons. The food is consistently good, the service is attentive and the atmosphere is relaxing a d comfortable. Dyer's was the FIRST PLACE WINNER in the Texas Sesquicentennial Bar B Que and Chili Cookoff and the Great Panhandle and Brisket Cookoff!
Their ribs are smoked longer than many in West Texas and therefor less fatty and no doubt better for the consumer.

The last time we were there, Carol had the light plate with beef and ham. It was" Wednesday Night All You Want Catfish" so Ron pigged out on one of his favorite things. Everything was very well prepared and the service was excellent. We also like the fact that they are not stingy with the pickles, relish and onions or the Texas Toast.  As is often the case, Roy Dyer was there snooping around making sure everything was fit and proper. He has been doing this since 1967 in Pampa and in Amarillo and this is where the locals go.

The Friday and Saturday night special is prime rib, small or large. Dyer's has family packs for carry out and the "Rollin' Ribs: You Call, We Haul" is always available for catering. Check out their menu on the next page or just Giddy Up And Go. There is something that everyone will enjoy no matter how small or large the group. If there is a kill joy in the party, there is even chicken fried steak as well as burgers and other sandwiches and dinners.

UPDATE:  Returned for another visit and broke one of our rules..stay with the specialty of the restarurant.  This is a bar b que place but Carol had the chicken fried steak, half size, and still took some home.  The Texas size must be huge.  It was really good and the LOADED baked potato was really loaded, bacon and all.  Ron had the combo rib and sausage  lite plate and everything was very good....love Dyer's Bar B Que sauce.
