Known for their great barbecue and chicken fried steaks, this family restaurant serves a variety of fine foods including steaks. Monday through Saturday for lunch and dinner. They are open on Sunday for lunch and early dinner. Cattle Call is a great place to go for a belly full of traditional Bar B Que or for a relaxing drink at the bar. If you are traveling thru Amarillo, it is easy to find. This renowned restaurant is just off Western St and faces on I-40. You will alway find the huge Texas flag waving you an invitation.
Ron visited this fine restaurant for lunch and had the three way combo served with potato salad and Cole slaw. Everything was exceptional including the and side of apricots and Texas toast. The food was great and service also very good. There are lots of comfortable booths and the decor is quite relaxing. They serve good BBQ that would be enjoyed by everyone who likes good Texas BBQ.

UPDATE:
Ron dropped by for lunch recently with the intention of ordering a sandwich. However, an item on the appetizer menu caught his eye....ribs, sliced brisket and smoked sausage. Plenty of great food for a filling lunch and reasonably priced. The ribs were heavily smoked and very tender and the brisket would almost melt in your mouth. The smoked sausage was really good and sliced into bit size peaces.
One of the pluses of a Bar B Que restaurant for lunch is that your food comes out really fast. Cattle Call (I-40 just east of Western St. on the north side) is certainly no exception. the service was prompt and very courteous and the decor is very relaxing.
PLEASE: Tip your server according to service received. They work hard and much of their income is Dependant upon you. And tell your server, cashier, manager or owner I saw your restaurant on the internet at "The Locals Go Here".
